Structure of the classes:
The classes will build your confidence, help with spacial awareness and co-ordination, provide a better understanding of musicality and knowledge of dance. Along with improving your balance, provide mental and physical stimulation and of course have lots of fun along with having a good workout! It’s also a great way to make new friends.
Ballet-Fit (30 minutes) – Online only – from my home to yours! The class will consist of centre work with and without the use of a barre (chair in this case). Warming up with gentle movements such as plies and tendu. Leading on with a port de bras, grand battements, classical walks and little jumps etc. Interlinked with all exercise will be some gentle stretches and mini recover points. Then we finish off with a curtsey – of course!
Dance-Fit (45 minutes) – Love music? Love dance? Love fitness? Well this is the class for you. A huge selection of music and routines to dance yourself fit. Stretching, strengthening and conditioning mixed with basic dance moves. Turn up the music and dance!!
Multilevel Ballet (45 minutes) – Warming up with barre work (with use of a chair) gentle and simple movements such as plies and tendu etc. Progressing on with centre work and short travelling combinations that incorporate the steps building up to a short dance routine. Designed to be a perfect blend for any level of experience. From those who need to learn the basics in classical ballet to those wanting to improve their ballet technique and knowledge of steps. This level will be bursting with creativity and use a wide range of music. Have fun, challenge yourself and build up confidence with your dancing ability. Class will also consist of warm ups, layered exercises, combination steps, travelling steps and a dance routine. Finish off with a gently stretch and a curtsy.
Beginners Tap (60 minutes) – Warming up with gentle and simple movements such as toe taps and heel beats. Leading onto learning shuffles, cramp rolls, paddles, riffs and pick ups etc. Progressing on with short travelling combinations that incorporate the steps building up to a short dance routine. Finish off with a gentle stretch and a bow.
Improvers Tap (45 minutes) – Designed for those who have some experience of tap dancing and want to improve their tap technique and knowledge of steps and sequences. Have fun, challenge yourself and build up confidence with your tap dancing ability. Class will consist of warm ups, layered exercises, combination steps, travelling steps and a dance routine. Finish off with a gently stretch and a bow.
Cost & Membership:
45 Minute Class:
Basic membership – £18.50 monthly – class attendance only.
PAYG – £5.00 weekly.
60 Minute Class:
Basic membership – £22.75 monthly – class attendance only.
PAYG – £6.00 weekly.
Elite & Elite+ membership – Two memberships available for those who just can’t get enough!
PAYG Mix ‘n’ Match – 2 classes for £9.00
Due on the 1st of each month.
Failure to do so will result in your membership being discontinued.
PAYG attendees must pay at the start of the class. No credit can be given.
A trial class is always welcome at the cost of a weekly PAYG fee. After this the usual rates and agreements apply.
